An Ode to Garden Romance Katy & Steve’s Timeless Wedding Stationery
Designing wedding stationery for Katy and Steve was especially inspiring thanks to their stunning outdoor venue at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Surrounded by lush greenery and natural textures, their wedding aesthetic was inherently botanical, elegant, and organic. From the very beginning, the goal was to create paper goods that felt like a natural extension of the gardens themselves, refined, romantic, and quietly impactful.
A Palette of Blues & Greens
Their chosen color palette of layered blues and soft greens set the tone for the entire suite. These hues felt fresh and timeless, perfectly complementing the surrounding florals and foliage. We leaned into this palette to create a design that felt serene and intentional, allowing the colors to do the heavy lifting while keeping the overall look light and airy.
We are so grateful for the beautiful work on both our wedding signage and invitations! Every detail was perfect and truly brought the day together. The invitations Nicole designed were stunning and set the perfect tone for our celebration—our guests were so excited from the moment they received them.
Thoughtful Texture & Delicate Details
Texture played a huge role in bringing this suite to life. We incorporated blind embossing for a subtle, tactile element that added sophistication without overwhelming the design. Floral envelope liners offered a beautiful surprise moment for guests, while a soft floral chiffon ribbon wrapped the suite together, adding movement and a romantic, garden-inspired finish. Each embellishment was chosen to enhance the suite and elevate the experience from the moment the invitation was opened.
Carrying the Design Through the Wedding Day
To ensure a cohesive look from start to finish, we extended the stationery design into the day-of details. Table numbers, place cards, a welcome sign, and a seating chart all echoed the botanical motifs and color palette of the invitation suite. These pieces blended seamlessly into the garden setting, helping guide guests while also adding to the overall visual story of the day.
A Joyful Process from Start to Finish
Beyond the beautiful design, working on this wedding was such a joy. Katy was truly the sweetest, thoughtful, kind, and incredibly easy to collaborate with throughout the entire process.
