Fore! A Golf Club-Themed Wedding Suite for Emily & Brandon

When Emily and Brandon got in touch about their wedding stationery, they made one thing crystal clear: golf wasn’t just a hobby, it was a love language. They’d fallen in love on the fairways, gotten engaged near the greens, and were saying “I do” at the very country club where they spent so many happy hours together. Their wedding stationery had to tell that story.

As a designer, getting a brief this personal and specific is a gift. The directive: incorporate a custom illustration of the venue, lean into the golf aesthetic, and make everything feel elevated, not kitschy.

The Stationery Suite

The foundation of the whole look was vellum — used for both the save the date and the invitation suite. There’s something so romantic about vellum: the translucency, the delicacy, the way it elevates everything it touches. For a couple as lively and outgoing as Emily and Brandon, I wanted that contrast — playful content, refined execution.

The centerpiece of the suite was a brand-new custom folded enclosure that I designed specifically for this wedding. Unfolded, it houses everything a guest needs: the main invitation, a details card, and the RSVP card — all nested together in a clean, considered way. Anchoring the entire package was a monogrammed belly band that tied the pieces together literally and visually.

She took our thoughts and turned them into the most beautiful stationery suite I’ve ever seen. From the save the date all the way through to the thank yous, every piece was thoughtful, stunning, and perfectly us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Day-Of Details

Once the suite was locked in, the natural next step was running the look all the way through to the wedding day. Consistency is everything — a guest should be able to pick up any piece and feel the same world. Hanging welcome signage greeted guests on arrival. Place cards with meal choice indicators kept things elegant and functional. Programs carried the visual language through the ceremony, and thank you cards gave the design one final curtain call.

The Star of the Show: The Golf Ball Seating Chart

Buckets of golf balls as a seating chart. Each bucket was filled with golf balls, and every ball had a guest’s name applied in vinyl. Find your name, find your ball, find your table. It was interactive, on-brand, and had guests lingering and laughing as they hunted through the buckets. This is the kind of detail that gets talked about years later.

A Project I’ll Always Treasure

Not every project is like this one. Emily and Brandon were dream clients — enthusiastic, trusting, and genuinely excited about the creative process. They gave me room to explore and have fun, and they matched my energy every step of the way. Projects like this are a reminder of why I love what I do. Stationery isn’t just paper — it’s the first thing a guest holds, the first story they’re told about a couple. For Emily and Brandon, that story was about love, laughter, fairways, and a whole lot of heart.

Congratulations to the amazing Emily and Brandon — wishing you a lifetime of birdies, beautiful adventures, and a love that only gets better with every round!
