Crafting Kate & Josh’s Iconic Mid-Century Modern Nuptials

Designing with Iconic Details

Designing Kate and Josh’s wedding stationery was an absolute dream. From the very beginning, their vision was clear: a celebration that captured the timeless glamour of the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport that perfect blend of mid-century modern sophistication and New York energy.

Kate and Josh were drawn to the hotel’s incredible architecture and nostalgic design details, the curves, the typography, the jet-age optimism. They wanted their stationery suite to feel like it belonged right there, in that world of cocktail lounges, sweeping red carpets, and vintage departure boards.

Kate has impeccable style, elegant, confident, and refined and I wanted every detail of their stationery to reflect that. Each piece felt like an extension of her taste: classic but with a wink of playfulness, polished yet personal.

I wanted to personally thank you for the amazing work you did for our wedding. Once I get the photos back I fully intend on doing a post to show off your incredible work. Everyone was blown away by your vision and our wedding would not have been complete without it!

The Perfect Travel Touches

One of my favorite details was their wedding program, designed to look like a passport, complete with a map of the TWA hotel. Tucked inside was an old-school boarding pass invitation to the after party in the hotel’s famous Connie airplane cocktail lounge. Guests loved the surprise and it tied the entire travel theme together seamlessly.

A Joyful Collaboration

Throughout the process, I had the pleasure of working closely with Kate and her mother, Karen. They were both such a delight, warm, collaborative, and full of great ideas. Our meetings felt less like work and more like creative conversations, and their enthusiasm made every step of the design process even more special.

In the end, Kate and Josh’s stationery suites not only captured the mid-century charm of the TWA Hotel but also told their New York love story stylish, timeless, and full of character.

Congratulations again to this incredible couple! It was such an honor to be a small part of your celebration.
