Some wedding themes instantly transport you into another world and Cher and David’s styled shoot was absolutely one of those magical experiences. Led by the visionary Katelyn Maureen, this concept was built around one captivating idea: forest romance. With every detail rooted in nature and layered with whimsical charm, the entire day felt like stepping into an enchanted woodland.

Bringing the Woods to Paper

The lodge itself set the tone with its towering trees, warm wood, and cozy atmosphere, but we wanted the paper pieces to extend that world even before the cameras arrived. We leaned into velvety textures and deep, mossy greens, working with velvet paper that immediately felt tactile and unexpected.

To embrace the organic feel, we incorporated unique cutouts that mimicked the layered, whimsical shapes of a forest canopy. Paired with typography that felt both romantic and modern, the suite struck the perfect balance between timeless and imaginative.

A Whimsical, Modern Suite

The group was drawn to designs that felt elevated but still playful. The combination of soft velvet, sculptural edges, and airy lettering created something truly special, an invitation that invited guests into a woodland fairytale from the moment they opened the envelope.

Carrying the Theme Into the Reception

The best stationery experiences don’t stop at the mailbox—they carry through to the celebration itself. For the reception, we brought back the same velvet textures and lush greens for the table numbers and menus. Together, they blended effortlessly into the tablescapes, which were overflowing with greenery, moss, and the glow of candlelight. Every detail worked in harmony to create the forest romance they had dreamed of.

A Joyful, Playful Shoot Day

Working on Cher and David’s styled shoot was such a delight from start to finish. The creativity—and willingness to have fun—was infectious. (They even had a bouncy house, which tells you everything you need to know about their joyful spirit!) Designing the stationery was an honor, and seeing how it brought the theme to life was unforgettable.
